2025 AllTerra Long Range Experience

Join us for the exclusive AllTerra Long Range Academy May 16-18, 2025 at the beautiful Day Mountain Ranch in Preston, Idaho. Demo an AllTerra rifle for the event, or bring your own (AllTerra rifles only). No matter the starting skill level, attendees of our premium course will learn and apply everything they need to know to efficiently and ethically extend their effective hunting/shooting distance.

Meals and lodging are included; all participants will stay in Day Mountain’s luxurious on-site cabins which lie within earshot of their cutting edge shooting facility featuring steel targets out to 1,300 yards. Enjoy 360-degree mountain views, a large shared social pavilion area amongst the cabins, abundant western wildlife, and of course… plenty of learning and long range shooting.

Logistics & Travel:

The 1,600 acre Day Mountain Ranch is located at 77 S. Spring Creek Rd., nestled in the hills overlooking rural Preston, Idaho (where Napoleon Dynamite was filmed). The closest major airport is SLC, Utah (1 hr 50 min drive). We recommend renting a vehicle in Salt Lake to drive to DMR. AllTerra is happy to facilitate carpooling arrangements between attendees once know everyone’s travel itinerary. Plan to arrive at the ranch ~4pm on Friday, May 16.

If bringing your own rifle: 100-120 rounds of ammo, bipod, bubble level on scope recommended

Tentative Schedule:

Friday May 16

  • Check-In at or after 4pm
  • Meet and greet, room check-in, socialize, etc.
  • 6:30pm Group Dinner
  • Long Range Academy classroom presentation by instructors

 

Saturday May 17

  • 8am Breakfast, divide into teams of two (shooter/spotter pairs)
  • 100-200 yard rifle zeroing and shooting fundamentals overview
  • Begin learning and applying longer range ballistics adjustments, wind reading, shooter-spotter communication
  • 12pm Break for Lunch
  • Afternoon shoot from mountaintop Tower range – longer distances with varied angles and more technical wind conditions. 100+ steel targets from 300 to 1,600 yards in every direction.
  • 7pm Dinner-Social

 

Sunday May 18

  • 7:30am Breakfast
  • Final long range shooting session
  • Class conclusion
