Our annual best-seller since its introduction, the Nightforce C639 NX8 2.5-20×50 riflescope is a compact and highly capable precision optic. The versatile 2.5-20x zoom range allows for fast engagements at close range along with the ability to detect, identify and engage targets at long range. Nightforce is well-known for durability and repeatability, which we can absolutely confirm through our experience with this scope at AllTerra. We have mounted and shot hundreds of NX8 riflescopes over the years. Internally, we own 4 of these scopes which have thousands of rounds each on them and they just keep shooting.
For the customer who values supreme durability at a slight optic weight expense, this is one of our top recommendations. Glass clarity and resolution is very good, but falls a bit short of some of the other optics that we offer (which also cost considerably more than the NX8). The NX8 has a capped windage turret so plan on holding wind with the reticle subtentions instead of dialing wind – which is our preferred windage correction method anyway. If you absolutely prefer to dial wind to make your long range shots, then this may not be the best optic for you.
The NX8 2.5-20×50 MOAR in second focal plane (F2) is out go-to default model for customers purchasing this scope. We feel that for hunting use, the F2 reticle is more user-friendly than F1. However, we can happily provide F1 scopes for those who prefer it.
