Our Convergence action is meticulously crafted from a 2” pre-hardened 416 stainless steel round bar. By utilizing advanced EDM machining to cut the bolt raceway to the concentric center of the receiver, we achieve a consistent <.0005” bore straightness tolerance. A unique, patented bolt lug design ensures true Bolt-to-Bore Alignment™ and flawless No-Fail Cycling™.
Our design ensures that the firing pin remains concentric and supported within the bolt firing pin pilot hole at all times. A heavy-duty, oversized firing pin spring floats inside the bolt body, eliminating friction caused by the ‘snaking’ effect common with most firing spring designs. Our robust system achieves faster action, minimizing the time from trigger drop to primer ignition.
Relaxed tolerances between a bolt and receiver prevents jams due to a lower potential for binding. However, loose tolerances typically lead to reduced accuracy as a tradeoff. Our patented bolt features and precise engineering places the bolt in benchrest tolerance when closed and ready to shoot, then opens up to looser tolerances while cycling the bolt for the best of both worlds: Accuracy and dependability when they each matter most.
